Ms. Lawana Saint Jean

Mrs. Lawana has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State
University in Alabama. She has a concentration in science and has over 13 years of teaching
experience. This is Mrs. Lawana’s second full year at TIA.
Mrs. Lawana believes in a constructivist style of teaching. The constructive classroom has
students actively build their knowledge through experiences and interactions. Education should
focus on problem solving and critical thinking, encouraging learners to connect new information
with prior knowledge. It empathizes with student-centered learning that fosters deep
understanding and application.
